30 How to Make a Screenshot of the Display

It’s not written in the manual, but it is actually possible to make a screenshot of the display, which is then saved to a USB flash drive.

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB TO DEVICE slot at the back.
  2. Press and hold the A/D INPUT ON/OFF button.
  3. Press and release the AUDITION button.
  4. Release the A/D INPUT ON/OFF button.

The result is that the current display is saved to the USB flash drive as a png file, 800×480 pixels, named DSNAP_#.png, where # is a sequence number.

It’s also possible to show the display, live, on an external monitor and it’s even possible to use an external touch display and operate the synth from it. However … this is not officially supported by Yamaha and therefore it’s not documented. But if you’d Google for say Montage MODX external display you’ll find a couple of articles and YouTube videos on the subject.

A VIDEO WILL BE AVAILABLE HERE SOON
